I made Shadowcoon draw me an art night badge last night because I love his little tiny characters. <3 He drew this, and I did the lettering.

chinese telephone sketches
Draggowolf, Discobun, and Bill, three made-up characters for an art night Chinese telephone. Person 1 gets a description of a character and draws it, sketch only is passed to Person 2 who must make a modification (make it fatter, friendlier, bigger eyes, a monocle, more cowbell, etc), but re-sketches the character based on the first sketch. Then you pass that on to Person 3, who gets another modification and re-sketches again. By then you should have something fairly mutated.
These sketches go in order. Draggowulf is a wolf with dragon parts. Discobun is from a sketch of a bunny-ish character with messed up feet (i later learned that the description included “clubfooted”), with some kind of disco-y accoutrements, and the modification was “make it girlier,” so I gave her bigger boobs and a dress. Bill is from a sketch of a Peter-Puppy-looking guy in a tank top, and the modification was “make the eyes bigger.” He was originally a generic toon character.
The best thing about these challenges is that they are always throwaway practice material, and I can work on just sketching out a thing in about 10 minutes. That’s pretty fast for me!
